Haggai 1:1-2:23; Revelation 11:1-19; Psalm 139:1-24; Proverbs 30:15-16

As much as God showers blessings on us and wants us to enjoy all the blessings He has given us, He still cares for His work on the earth and His house. And, what matters to God, should matter to us as His children.

God challenged Israel because they enjoyed their prosperity and blessings but did nothing to maintain and promote the House of God. God saw His house struggling while the people’s homes were prospering. This was not acceptable to God and it should not be acceptable to us.

God had already established that His House should be cared for because it was the center of His work on the earth. God blessed His people with abundance so that they would take care of His work on the earth. The people did the exact opposite. They received the blessings but did nothing to support God’s Work. Remember this: God blesses us so that we can bless His work! Let’s settle the argument over giving and let’s be faithful to return the tithe to God so that God’s Kingdom can continue to expand on the earth. There are so many people who still need to hear the Good News.
